Almost 150 employees at our Haslington manufacturing site took part in a mass Covid-19 testing programme.
The on-site teams volunteered over two days to undertake lateral flow testing which usually gives the results in around 30 minutes. Testing started at 0800 on Tuesday 5th through to 1600 hours on Wednesday 6th January.
The Covid testing was coordinated and overseen by 9 Squadron of 7 Regiment Royal Logistics Corps, with the tests being self-administered.
CEO John Cooper said: “I would like to thank the members of 9 Squadron for their help in making the process run smoothly. Safeguarding the team and our customers has been a priority since Lockdown 1. So, when Lancashire County Council approached us to ask if we would take part in this mass programme, we were quick to respond.
Despite many of our office team working from home, we had a good response and over 75% of our workforce took part in the mass testing. We hope that it gives peace of mind to all those involved.”
