Gordon Ramsey’s Claridges Restaurant in London is the very height of luxury. Carpet Express, a family run business in Westminster, London, recently re-fitted the restaurant with a stunning Lano Axminster carpet produced by Natural Elements, Lano’s contract division. Carpet Express’ Managing Director, Tony Taylor, explained the importance of the choice of underlay for this prestigious installation: “The first priority for this job was comfort – we simply had to use the best materials available. However, we were also working to a tight schedule because the restaurant had to remain functional at all times.
We settled on Tredaire Terra Firma 9 as the ideal underlay. Not only does it add a really luxurious, comfortable feel to the carpet but it’s also relatively light and easy to handle.” Tony’s team re-fitted the restaurant between the hours of 2 am and 9 am – no mean feat for such a large and demanding job. So successful was the installation that Carpet Express then went on to select Tredaire Terra Firma 9 for Gordon Ramsey’s newest restaurant, The Warrington in Maida Vale, London.
